Calcutta High Court Adjourns ED-TMC Petitions Citing Courtroom Disruption
The Calcutta High Court on Friday deferred hearing in cross-petitions filed by the Enforcement Directorate and the Trinamool Congress after observing that the courtroom atmosphere was not conducive to judicial proceedings.
Justice Suvra Ghosh recorded that repeated directions to maintain decorum went unheeded due to significant disturbance in court.
The matter arises from ED searches at I-PAC premises linked to a money-laundering probe.
The Court has listed the petitions for hearing on 14 January (afternoon session).
